Kindling and split logs burn on a small hearth, outdoors at night. The flames, the sparks,
the smoke and the glow of the embers come from the changing state of a simulated fire, not from a
recorded loop. Each log has its own wood, thickness and dryness, and these change how it
burns.
Wood is added automatically from two piles, one of hardwood and one of softwood, as the fire needs it.
When the wood runs out, the fire settles into embers and goes out.
How to watch
There is nothing you need to do: the fire looks after itself. You can watch in portrait or
landscape, on iPhone or iPad. Takigi has no sound.
